Hey Lil’ Luna readers! Can you believe it’s already spring..? I’m so ready for some warm weather. Every time I think it’s finally warming up here in Utah it keeps SNOWING out of nowhere. It needs to stop, cause I’m way too pumped to put away my winter coat and break out the sun dresses and sandals!

Spring is one of my favorite seasons to dress for because there are less layers involved (byeee cardigans, see ya next fall!), and it’s the perfect temperature- not as hot as summer when have to worry about sweating through your cute chiffon blouse, ya get me? Unless you’re my Arizona peeps, then you’ve probably been sweating through your blouses since February. So sorry.

Well, today I have some spring style tips for you. I did a little research and found 5 new style trends for this upcoming spring season! As always, the full collection with even more items than what are featured here can be found in this Polyvore collection, and all items in the collection are UNDER $50 (most are even $30 and less)!

Lace and Crochet. Shirts, dresses, you name it. Lace is hitting it big this spring! I’m a huge fan of white lace and crochet (partially because white makes me look more tan than I really am hehe), but I’m loving these colorful blouses! Either neutral or fun pastel colored lace will be a great choice this spring!

Distressed Denim. For me, I always have to find a happy medium when it comes to distressed jeans. Sometimes they cross the line from fun and casual to trashy and homeless. If I pay good money for a pair of jeans, I don’t really want half of the left thigh to be missing, but I don’t mind a little tasteful wear and tear! Distressed jeans are making an appearance in the spring 2016 trends, both skinny jeans and loose boyfriend jeans, so go find yourself a good pair!

Slitted Skirts/Wrap Skirts. How fun are these? They add a nice little twist to your classic pencil skirt. There are some more cute wrap skirts in my Polyvore collection that don’t have as high of a slit, so if you’re not feelin’ that, go check out those other skirts!!

Neutral Dresses. Neutral anything is definitely trendy for spring, but especially dresses! I’ve never seen so many cute button-up shirt dresses until now, but I think I need to go find one for myself! And of course, everybody’s fave: the T-shirt dress. Who knew you could make a T-shirt look somewhat classy by making it a little bit longer and calling it a dress? I don’t even know.. but I do know that I love T-shirt dresses with all my heart.

Trendy Shoes. Things that are coming back into style: fringe, lace ups, and small platforms. The small heeled sandals are definitely something that I hated when it started becoming trendy, but they’re starting to grow on me, dang it. Same with the flats and sandals that lace up.. As long as they’re more on the simple side and less on the excessive side, I’m a fan. And of course to complete the trendy shoe collection, you have simple flats, and low ankle boots with a little fringe to make things exciting. Notice all of these are neutral. *wink wink*
